We enjoyed every single minute of Zenia + Danylo's wedding day.
From the very beginning of the day - starting with the getting ready photos at Z's mother's home - we could sense how intimate and special this day would be. Jeff and I were both greeted so incredibly warmly by their families. The day was centred not only around Z + D, but their families and traditional values as well. We adored Z's mother's cozy home, filled to the brim with personal knick-knacks and plants. It really set the perfect setting to start off the wedding day.
Once Zenia was in her dress, Danylo + his team of groomsmen arrived to commence the First Look in the garden. Some family photos then followed in the yard before the couple headed into the home for some pre-ceremony Ukrainian Catholic wedding traditions.
We then drove to St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral for the ceremony.
Following the ceremony, we took the bridal party to Hawrelak Park for formals. This park held a special place for the couple so it was great to incorporate one of their favourite Edmonton settings into their wedding photographs.
Z + D held their reception at the Edmonton Country Club, where they could incorporate their love for the outdoors with the intimate outdoor patio space and views of the city skyline. They made their decorations themselves, including the incredibly awesome outdoorsy-themed coasters!
